Motorola’s Moto G series has long offered excellent value for money, and the new Moto G54 continues this trend. Priced starting at around $189, does it deliver? Here’s my review.

Design and Display

The Motorola Moto G54 sports a slim 8mm thick body that keeps weight down to a reasonable 177g. It has a nice-sized 6.5-inch display with FHD+ resolution and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. Thin bezels maximize screen real estate.

Performance

Powering the phone is the MediaTek Dimensity 7020 chip paired with 4GB, 8GB, or 12GB of RAM depending on the model. This provides smooth multitasking and lag-free usage. Storage is 128GB or 256GB with a microSD card slot for expansion.

Cameras

The dual rear camera system includes a capable 50MP main sensor and a 2MP macro lens. Selfies look good thanks to the 16MP front camera. Both can capture 1080p video.

Battery Life
