Motorola recently launched its latest flagship smartphone, the Edge+ (2023), as an upgrade to last year’s model. After spending some time testing it, here are my thoughts on this powerful Android device.

The Motorola Edge+ (2023) has a handsome design made of glass and aluminum materials. It feels solid and premium in the hand. At 161.2 x 74 x 8.6mm and 203g, it’s a sizable phone but not too heavy. I appreciate the IP68 water and dust resistance for added durability.

The Motorola Edge+ (2023) 6.67-inch OLED display is simply gorgeous with its high 1080×2400 resolution and max 165Hz refresh rate. Colors pop off the screen and everything is infinitely smooth. Corning’s Gorilla Glass Victus on both front and back provides strong protection.

At the heart of this phone is the flagship-level Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. In my use, it provided lightning-fast performance across all tasks without any lag or stutter. Heavy games loaded quickly and ran smoothly.

With 8GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage, you shouldn’t experience any issues with multitasking or lack of space. The huge 5,100mAh battery easily lasted me over a day of regular usage.

Impressive Camera System

On the back, Motorola equipped a versatile triple camera array including a 50MP main, 12MP telephoto for 2x optical zoom, and a 50MP ultrawide. Photo quality is excellent across different lighting conditions.

The front 60MP selfie camera is also very capable. You can shoot 8K video or timelapse modes like slo-mo. Overall the camera delivers flagship-worthy stills and videos.

For the price, which is several hundred less than competing flagships, you’re getting a lot of phone for the money with the Motorola Edge+ (2023). Its beautiful design, outstanding performance, and versatile cameras make it a true value flagship contender.
